Background: In order to successfully stand out in the competitive property management landscape, Carabetta c-suite determined that creating a mobile application for existing and future tenants would provide tremendous value.

Role: Lead Product Designer

Company: Carabetta

During the discovery phase, I took a deep dive into the legacy web version to begin feature adoption for the mobile experience. This ask was equally challenging due to the cognitive fixedness associated with most of the stakeholders involved. They didn't understand the importance of creating a mobile application due to already having a website in place. I used the Clarity heat map to gain user insights on the most and least used features within the company's website.

Findings: The State and Town dropdown menus were the most visited sections on the homepage within a 30 day span amongst new and returning users. The About and Careers sections ranked as the least visited with the same time parameters.

Equipped with these user insights, I could now advocate for adopting key features from the legacy over into the new product design.
